Something I'm personally very excited about is tha

Something I'm personally very excited about is that i get to film SMC on tape! im a format nut and this is a Sony CCD-TR94E Hi8 video camcorder that i have found at a local thrift shop. through some adapting magic ive managed to make a digitizing rig for around 15 euros in total and your android device can rerecord footage via a AV capture card!

how to get this going yourself? ill make a more detailed explanation on my @nether_snaps account where i share my camera stuff. for now im just sharing the excitement of recording my first event on tape, to me that makes the whole experience a lot more memorable and fun to look back at. the set came with a fresh tape so im gonna dedicate that to filming smc allong with a minidv recorder im bringing aswell. (i like gadgets, couldnt you tell?)

ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!!!

I will be attending Scale Model Challenge 2024 on the 19th and 20th of october! you can find me at the @shopside7 booth (E1 on the floor map!) where i'll be demo-ing my wares and prototypes.

I'll be selling whatever we managed to print in the span of time we had and our 1 bambu x1c has been an absolute champ. if its your first time seeing this, hi! i develop 3d printed tools for the scale modeling hobby as a whole. i developed my own sprue clip system that works for virtually any injection molded sprue kit. therefore i wanted to keep the central clip unit to be as modular as possible and ive managed to make it interface with a surprising amount of things!

for example, its now possible to use the gunpla box your model comes in to sort all your sprues without damaging the box. however the option to attach it to the box in a more permanent matter is possible! i call it the Build Out Of Box System (B.O.O.B.S. for short 👀) and with this i hope to give you a way to get a bit more life out of your box instead of just packaging.

Ive also managed to adapt it to the ikea skadis pegboard system making it possible to stash your sprues horizontally and away from your desk! the take away here is that i want to inspire you to develop a system that works with you and not against you so you can build whenever, wherever!

And i want to thank @linny_la_vante for arranging all of the promotion material & website, i litterally could not have done it without her help. it hasnt been easy but she pulled everything off, never in my LIFE did i think i would have rollup banners THIS CLEAN!!!

I got this godhand back in 2019, after over 5 year

FINALLY, THE FILES TO THESE BOXES ARE UP!

It took me a while to refine these boxes to a point where i felt comfortable sharing them. most of that time went into structuring the parts, making the models easy to print and logical to use. All you need to do is follow my carefully written instructions in the files or you can get started right away by dragging in just one file and press the button that says "print!".
You can find the STL files available on my website (link in bio) or on cults! If you google Netherbuilds toolbox you'll find everything related to the project.

Do note that the files dont contain any lids with decals or graphics as the ones i printed for myself are for personal use and testing. i dont own the artwork so i cant share them. so for now while you wait till i make my own artwork, try a sticker. make it your own!

Also this is just the pack that contains the boxes and bits. the idea is to update this file pack as i go or make seperate packs so you only have to pay for what youre actually gonna print and use. Testing and refining parts takes time, i cant release something without making sure it works, thats what a professional does and thats what i aspire to be.

It was a lot of hard work to get just this far, and i thank everyone for who followed allong for the ride.

And in the spirit of customization i added the related cad files to the inserts, so you can create your own deviders! develop your own bespoke sorting system using my box as a base! i made you a box, do something cool with it. impress me 😎 (i just really want you to do something cool with the box so we are on the same hype train🥳)

I hope you have a lot of fun sorting for now while i go back to face my archnenimis "my graduation thesis" 💀💀💀. im not looking forward to it but know i'll be less active and more school focused again. so take the time to try out the boxes and compile your feedback! i cant wait to get back to this project as soon as ive finished school. because thats when not only i, but we have something to celebrate 🥂.

I managed to finish the free test file for the too

I managed to finish the free test file for the toolbox! everything you see here is available in the files but there is a little catch, youre gonna have to solve a puzzle to get to that very clean print in place toolbox file muhahahaha! well its not that hard actually, there is a zipfile and the code is on the first test piece hidden somewhere. so good luck finding it!

i hope to have the base boxes and inserts done by the end of the week so see this as a little preview and as a "early to the party" present. this file is free but the actual toolbox files will be a paid purchase. but expect the same level of quality as you see here. which is why its taking so long, managing a big project with many parts and variants can be a real headache. so i hope to make the user experience something special so little to no input from you is required to start the print. And this is a little taste of that, so let me know how it goes and what you thought of it. you can find it on my website, link in bio!

Hey everyone! i tried compiling 7 months of work

Hey everyone! i tried compiling 7 months of work onto a video that 1minute30 long but that turned out to be a bad idea.

So, i made a youtube channel where I posted the full 20 minute long video showcasing every aspect of the development process! thank you everyone who has already seen most of these images in my stories. looking back its a pretty hefty journey but im very proud with how far ive come.

the files will be uploaded once i finished putting together a pack with all the files and instructions in their own directories. so i still have to ask you to be patient for now.
