The creation of the "MAD"

In march 2026 I started a new project after receiving a huge gift from Madworks to celebrate my GBWC 2nd place category: Europe & Middle East, they send me a set of chisels and holders to try out and well.. I did! I got myself a "HGUC 1/144 Geara Doga" kit and started adding some lines, before I knew it the leg was covered with all sort of details. 4 different line thicknesses, vents and further engraved dull existing lines, when I hit the 50% scribed mark something just hits me; do I still have room left for decals? The ease these new chisels go through the plastic is insane, as if I'm carving butter.
Mirroring the design to the other half of the build was quite a quick job compared to the 4 months of the first half, Planning a design is a real time consumer. Mirroring all work just took 2 months of cozy couch scribing to hit the 100% scribed mark, everything that I've done to this point is done on the couch with a Pla-station setup on my lab.
